Mount Eerie-With My Hands Out

A near perfect collection of personal songs by the relentless Phil Elverum. For all of the new/reimagined music that he has released, he couldn't possibly ever top 'Dawn'. Got me through some tough times. I once again need it's help.

Genius of Time-Same Old Place

Moonstarr-Detriot

Organic, 'Detroit'-inspired House/Techno from Canada with a heavy hectic breakdown included for good measure. This belter came out on Sonar Kollektiv way back in 2004. Still a great fucking label, consistently produces and those Jazznova/Ame Mixing CDs are timeless.

Leder Brothers-I'd Like to Touch A Star

This slice of Californian blue eyed soul surfaced for contemporary ears earlier this year on this ace compilation on Numero Group that I finally got my hands on recently; just in time for autumn.

Evgeny Light-Public Library Square

Serious vibe from Russia that was on fellow countryman Anton Zap's Little White Earbuds podcast from last year; a mix that stood head and shoulders above the saturated podcast fodder that now exists.

Lowgold-Mercury

Once shared a pack of Hob Nobs with a couple members of this band when they supported Grandaddy back in 2000. Was in some Leeds shithole; might have been the Cockpit, my memory fails me. Don't listen to this near your lowest ebb.
