I've highlighted on more than one occasion before that the internet and everyone's access to all kinds of music from different era's has increased the demand for rare and forgotten releases to be repressed/rereleased. Whilst there probably isn't a better label going than BBE for providing these carefully considered compilations; a recent one dropped on Chocolate Industries attempting to highlight the unheard underground of electronic soul from the 1974 to 1984. 'Personal Space' helps to move these tracks from obscurity and isolation in a well thought out and thoughtful way. The compilation is already one of my highlights of 2012 and I keep finding new favourites with each listen.
My favourite at the moment is the stripped down sound of Otis G Johnson's 'Time to Go' (which closes the collection). This track has the capacity to bring tears to many eyes.
Wonderful tune; didn't bring tears to my eyes though. Home will seem far away when you believe to posses infinite powers of strength and determination to achieve your goals and dreams. Keep the Faith. Always. :)
