Soofle-How Do You Plead?
Back in the late 90s/early 00s I was heavily into the 'French Touch' with all the usual suspects such as Motorbass, Cassius, Daft Punk, Bob Sinclair etc on heavy rotation. Was also quite heavily into Shazz, who later produced the epitome of 'lounge' house with his 2002 track 'Falling In Love'. Back in 1994 along with St Germain as 'Soofle' he put out this wonderfully deep number 'How Do You Plead?' as the B side to 'Acid Eiffel'; Laurent Garnier's acid classic. I must admit this came out a little bit before repetitive beats made any sense to me but I quickly sought it out after hearing it on the near flawless DJ History Mix by Bicep from last month. Ace!
